MORTEN
SOHLBERG Mr. Sohlberg oversees the creative aspects of Smörgås’ operations. Born and raised in Norway, Morten comes from a family with long traditions in the fine food service industry. Having studied art at the Istituto per L'Arte in Florence, worked as a designer in Milan, and taught at Parsons School of Design, Mr. Sohlberg also leads the "sensory experience" of the 3 restaurants including the lighting, sound and interior design, as well as the food and plate presentation. Chef Morten Sohlberg also teaches at The Institute of Culinary Education in New York, one of the most acclaimed cooking schools in the nation, offers diplomas in Culinary Arts, Pastry & Baking Arts, and Culinary Management. Founded in 1975, ICE operates 42,000 square-foot facility in the heart of New York City. As an experienced entrepreneur, Mr.Sohlberg brings over fifteen years of business experience from various industries to the Smorgas Chef restaurant group, including his experience in culinary management, communications, design, and business administration. Prior to co-founding Smörgås, Mr. Sohlberg founded Sessions.edu - the world's largest online school of Visual Comminication with students from over 110 countries. He served as Sessions' Chief Executive Officer for 5 years, its as Chairman of the Board of Directors for 7 years. Morten has been recognized with prestigious awards both in the U.S. and internationally. Morten holds degrees from the Nesbru Skole in Oslo, Norway, the Istituto per L'Arte in Florence, Italy, and has pursued entrepreneurial and business studies at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at NYU. Mr. Sohlberg has also served on DETC's Committee for Government & Public Relations in Washington DC, and The New School University’s Advisory Board.

MIN
YE Ms. Min Ye manages Smörgås’ financial, operational and business development activities. Ms. Ye has a unique background combining finance and fine cuisine -- she holds a B.A. in economics from Yale University, and worked as a Wall Street investment banker for several years, before attending the French Culinary Institute in SOHO, where she obtained her certificate in La Technique training in French classic cuisine. Ms Ye ’s prior experience as an Entrepreneur and investment banker provided her with a solid financial and legal background. Prior to co-founding Smörgås, Min Ye co-founded Sessions.edu, the world's largest online design school, and served as its Chief Financial Officer and Board member for 5 years, EVP of Business Development for over a year. At Sessions.edu, Ms. Ye was the driving force in securing several rounds of equity and debt financing which fueled the company's growth. Previously Ms. Ye worked in high yield corporate finance at UBS Warburg, originating debt capital for growing companies with limited cash flows. Additionally, she served as Liability Management banker at Lehman Brothers, managing and restructuring balance sheets for clients in a broad range of industries. Ms. Ye has also served on the Business Standards Committee of Distance Education and Training Council’s in Washington DC.
