Chef at Scandinavia House is the latest of our four restaurants
and is located at 58 Park Avenue between 37th and 38th Streets.
Zagat
Survey 2006 says Smörgås Chef Restaurant is "a refreshing
change of pace", and Village Voice claims the food is "Damn
Good".
Swedish Meatballs
with Lingonberries and Mashed Potatoes have become famous. The
New York Post calls Smörgås Chef the "Swedish Meatball
Mecca" of
New York. Smörgås Chef has also become known for its
Scandinavian Soft Vanilla Waffles, and its oven-baked
Cod
from the Kenai Peninsula (see menu).
For
lunch, you will find a smorgas board of open-face Scandinavian
sandwiches like Coldwater Shrimp, Smoked Salmon with Egg & Chives,
and Chicken Caramel with Norwegian goat cheese and asparagus. For
