Smörgås Chef Wall Street is situated on New York Citys oldest street in the heart of the Financial District.

This location is our smallest, and gets very busy --and intimate-- for lunch and dinner on weekdays, but on weekends it calms down a bit and the pace is more romantic and relaxed.

When the weather is warmer Smörgås Chef expands with over 50 seats on the Stone Street and guest can dine and drink outdoors on a historic cobblestone street in Downtoen Manhattan.

 

Smorgas Chef is also the exclusive provider of Room Service to the Michelin rated Wall Street Inn Hotel .

 

The Wall Street location was the first Smorgas Chef. The restaurant opened in early in 2003.

Restaurant serves up super fresh seafood and prime meats based on centuries of Scandinavian & European culinary traditions. The New York Times calls Smorgas Chef "a little treasure".

Smorgas Chef's authentic Swedish Meatballs with Lingonberries and mashed potatoes have become famous. The New York Post calls Smorgas Chef the "Swedish Meatball Mecca" of New York. Smorgas Chef has also become known for its roasted rack of lamb with a goat cheese Sherry sauce, and its oven-baked Cod from the Kenai Peninsula (see menu).
